NEW YORK (May 5, 2008) — Joseph Abboud has another red-hot iron in the fire.

The designer is about to take the wraps off a new collection that represents his latest incarnation: Black/Brown 1826. Originally conceived as a proprietary line of men’s wear for Lord & Taylor, the collection has “morphed” into something much bigger, according to Abboud. So much so, the label is expected to account for some $100 million in sales within three to five years.
